Looking Forward To What God Has Planned For Us
We're Not Sure What The Future Holds, But We Know Who Holds The Future!
Over the past eleven years, these mission trips have sparked major changes in many of the villages and communities. As we've returned to these areas, we've noticed dramatic improvements in the health and well-being of the villagers as well as their commitment to grow deeper in their already strong relationship with Jesus Christ. We've learned so much from these people who rely so heavily on God providing for them. They trust fully in Jesus Christ! Their faith is off the charts! They are spiritually strong and materially weak - where we Americans are materially strong and spiritually weak! I wish, as Americans, we would loosen our grip on our material goods - get rid of them and loosen the load that we carry around - so we can experience the peace and joy that comes from relying solely on God providing for us. When we do that, we get to see first hand that God is real, that God exists, that God loves us, and that God provides for us what we need - Not what we want - but what we need and what is right for our journey.
The infusion of spirituality that we receive from the villagers when we visit them is truly unexpected and stays with us as we return to the United States.
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:3
